Vantage
What the three Vantage pages show - Results, with its per-day chart and website tags, Signals Sent and Set Up - and how to read each figure.
Vantage sends the value of each conversion to your ad platform, so bidding follows what a conversion is worth and not only how many there are. It starts with Google Ads.
The Vantage section of the sidebar has three pages. It is shown only to workspaces that use Vantage.
Results
Results shows what Vantage reads from your data sources and what it can send. The page is about one Shopify store or one Salesforce org: pick it at the top when there is more than one. A workspace with neither shows what its website tag recorded. Money is always in the source's own currency and is never added across currencies.
A workspace with only a website tag
When no Shopify store or Salesforce org is connected and your website tag records values, the page shows, from top to bottom:
- What your tag recorded. A strip with Conversions with a value for the last 30 days, the Newest day a conversion with a value was recorded, and the Data source, the number of website tags recording values.
- Conversions with a value per day. One column per day, in your workspace's time zone. Hover a day to see its conversions and their value in each currency they were recorded in. A day with none is a real zero, not a gap.
- What the conversions with a value are tied to. Tapper records a tag conversion only for a visitor who came through a tracked ad click, so these shares are of those conversions. Only a conversion tied to a Google ad click can be sent to Google.
- Website tags. A table with each website tag Vantage reads. The value is over the last 30 days. The status is the tag's checks over the last 30 complete days.
A note on the page says that net value and customer value appear once a Shopify store or a Salesforce org is connected.
A Shopify store or a Salesforce org
For a Shopify store the page shows orders received, net order value, refund rate and median order, and how many orders carry a Google ad click ID, a customer ID or a link to a visit. For a Salesforce org it shows the sync status, the leads and opportunities read, and the match rate to ad clicks. Both show their connections and a table of daily data checks.
Nothing shows a zero that looks like a result. A figure with nothing behind it says what it is waiting for.
Signals sent
Signals Sent lists what Tapper uploaded to your ad platform. Each row is an upload day for an ad account, with the number of conversions Accepted, Failed and Pending. The counts are the ad platform's own.
Set up
Set Up has one card for each Google Ads account. A card shows one status, Done, Needs action or Not set up, and four steps:
| Step | Done when |
|---|---|
| Conversion action | An active Tapper goal exists in the ad account. |
| Bidding | At least one campaign bids on that goal. |
| Data source | The protected entity has a Shopify store, a Salesforce org or a website tag with valued conversions. |
| Signals | Google accepted conversions from Tapper in the last 7 days. |
The button at the bottom of a card is the first step still open: Create conversion action, Activate, Choose campaigns, Connect Salesforce or See why on Signals sent. If the Google Ads connection itself is broken, the card says so and offers Reconnect Google Ads.
Connect a Salesforce org in Connect Salesforce. Install a website tag in Install the monitoring script.
