Signing In
The three ways into Tapper - password, Google, and your company single sign-on - and the theme control on the sign-in pages.
There are three ways into Tapper. All three are on the same card.
Password
Type your email and password. If a workspace has turned on Lock @yourcompany.com accounts to this workspace for your email domain, the password form tells you so and moves you to the single sign-on step. Under Require SSO for this workspace alone, the password still works; that workspace asks you to continue with your company login once per session when you open it.
Click Sign in with Google. Same rule: if your domain is locked to a workspace, Google sign-in stops working for you and you are sent to your provider instead. Require SSO for this workspace on its own does not stop Google sign-in.
Single sign-on
Choose it
Click Sign in with SSO on the sign-in page, or Sign up with SSO if you are creating an account.
Give your work email
Enter your work email and click Continue. Tapper uses the domain to find your workspace's identity provider - it does not send the password anywhere.
Sign in at your provider
Your provider takes over. When it is done you land in your dashboard.
If your domain has no connection set up, the step says so and you can click Sign in another way to go back to the password form.
The direct link
Your workspace can share a link that skips the password form: https://app.tapper.ai/sso/<your-domain>, for example https://app.tapper.ai/sso/acme.com. Opening it shows your domain already filled in with one button, Continue to acme.com's sign-in; pressing it hands you to your provider. The press is deliberate - a page that redirected on its own could be used to start a sign-in nobody asked for. The same page without a domain, https://app.tapper.ai/sso, asks for your work email or company domain first - the Use single sign-on link on the sign-in page takes you there.
The first time
If your workspace has Create accounts automatically switched on, your account is created the first time you sign in and you join with the role the workspace chose. If it is off, ask an owner or admin to invite you first.
If you already had a Tapper account at a verified domain, and Create accounts automatically is on, that account joins the workspace the first time you sign in through the provider. If it is off, an owner or admin invites you. Someone removed from the workspace is never added back this way, and nobody joins while the workspace has no seats left. If your account's email was never confirmed, that first sign-in removes its old password and two-factor setup and signs out its other sessions: sign in through the provider from then on, or reset the password.
Theme
Every sign-in and sign-up page has a theme button in the top right. One click moves between light, dark and following your device. The same control sits in the account menu once you are in, and your choice carries across.
