Connect your ad accounts

Connect each ad account once and every Tapper product on your workspace uses it. Where to connect, the seven platforms and what Tapper Vantage, Tapper Block and Tapper Lift do with each.

You connect each ad account once. Tapper Vantage, Tapper Block and Tapper Lift all work from that one connection, so you never connect the same account again for another product.

What connecting changes in the ad account depends on your workspace's products. With Block, connecting a Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads or Microsoft Ads account also sets up what Block needs in it. Without Block, connecting changes nothing in the ad account.

Where to connect

In the sidebar, open Setup > Ad accounts. The page lists Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Microsoft Ads and LinkedIn Ads under Platforms, each with the number of accounts connected on it. On a small screen, the list is a Platform menu at the top of the page. A platform with no account says Not connected and offers its own button, such as Connect Google Ads.

Click Add ad account at the top of the page. The Add an account page lists the platforms you can connect. Click the button on a platform's row and follow its steps.

When you set up a new workspace, the onboarding's Connect an ad account step shows the same list. Setup appears in the sidebar once the onboarding is finished.

The platforms

The Add an account page lists Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and Microsoft Ads on every workspace. On a workspace with Lift, Apple Ads, Snapchat Ads and LinkedIn Ads follow, in that order. On a workspace with Block, the last row, Mobile app, adds an app through your MMP: see Mobile apps.

When you click Add ad account, or a platform's own Connect button, while that platform is open, its row comes first.

Who can connect

Only the workspace's owners and admins can connect an ad account. Any other member who starts a sign-in is told: Only a workspace owner or admin can connect an account. Ask one of them to connect it for you. See Settings for the roles.

Several protected entities

Each ad account is connected to one protected entity. When your workspace has two or more, first pick the entity in the switcher under the workspace name. Setup > Ad accounts and Add ad account work on the entity the switcher shows.

Moving or disconnecting an account

An ad account that is connected in another Tapper workspace cannot be connected in yours. Contact Tapper support to move it.

Only Tapper can disconnect an ad account, whatever your role. Contact Tapper support to disconnect one.
