Tapper Lift
The Tapper Lift pages and what you can do on each, Business details, the ad platforms Lift works on, where Lift reads your own results from, and who can do what.
Tapper Lift checks your ad accounts once a day and recommends changes that save wasted spend or grow your results. In the sidebar, the Lift section lists Recommendations, Reasons, Results and Business details. Where at least one of your Google Ads accounts is an online store account, Products appears after Results. Results has a second tab, Activity.
Lift works on one protected entity at a time. When your workspace has more than one, choose it with the switcher under the workspace name.
Every Lift page has the same header. It says how many recommendations are open and which daily sweep they come from, and it has two buttons:
- Open the fix plan opens Reasons. It does not show on Reasons itself.
- Export report covers your Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads accounts. Without one of those accounts, the button is off and a note beside it says what it needs.
Recommendations
The list of what Lift found. Above the list, a summary line gives the savings a day and how they split between ready to act on and to check first, how much spend Lift checked in the last 30 days, and the number of recommendations. What's inside opens the detail of that money, by campaign type, kind of fix, ad account and campaign.
Tabs above the list filter it by platform: All, Google Ads, Meta and TikTok, plus Apple Ads and LinkedIn Ads where one of those accounts is connected. A platform with no connected account shows as a dashed tab marked Connect, which opens the page where you connect it. A second row of tabs picks Open, Done, Dismissed or Resolved. Filters narrow the list further: Type, Status (Critical, Attention, Low impact), Check and, with more than one ad account, Ad account.
Each recommendation says Fix when Lift can make the change for you, and Review when you make it yourself. Its menu has Mark as done, for a change you made yourself, and Dismiss.
Reasons
Why the waste builds up on your Google Ads accounts, read top to bottom.
- The things to do this week come first, grouped in playbooks, starting with This week. Each step is a card with its money and its button: Apply or Review, Export list to apply it by hand, or Mark done for a step you tick yourself. Why opens the reason behind the step. A tick is saved for the whole workspace.
- Why these steps follows: a summary, a chart of where the spend goes, and the causes, largest savings first. Each cause has Details, a side panel with the full explanation and the list behind it, which you can export.
Savings and spend affected are different figures. A cause can touch a lot of spend and hold no savings, and the page says so.
The Dashboard can also show the things to do this week, each with its reasons. Open fix plan on it opens Reasons. It follows the Dashboard's ad account filter and always reads the last 30 days.
Results
Spend and results across your ad accounts. Pick the date range and the platform at the top of the page: the range starts on the last 30 days. Results shows the total spend and spend per day. With every platform, a table gives each platform's spend, conversions, cost per conversion, return on ad spend and savings a day. With one platform, the table gives its spend by campaign type. Results also compares each platform's share of spend with its share of conversions, or each campaign type's when one platform is picked. A workspace with a Meta ad account also sees Meta campaign performance. The spend of your Microsoft Ads accounts shows here too.
A date range you picked with no spend shows one empty card, with Show the last 30 days to go back.
Activity
The second tab of Results, with two tables:
- Fixes lists the fixes applied from Tapper, newest first. Revert removes only what Tapper created.
- Changes lists every action in Lift on the protected entity, by your team and by Tapper, newest first.
Products
One Google Ads account's products, one row per product, with its group, Google's figures and its campaigns. Where a store is connected, the store's units, revenue and refund rate show too. With a Meta ad account, Meta's spend, clicks and purchases per product show beside Google's. With more than one online store account or more than one Meta ad account, pick one with the Ad account or Meta account filter. The page is read only and exports to a spreadsheet.
Business details
Lift's settings. The areas are listed on the left, and each area has its own tabs.
| Area | What it holds | Tabs |
|---|---|---|
| General | How each ad account makes money. | Business type. |
| Google Ads | What Lift reads in each Google Ads account, and how it judges it. | Judging, Conversions, Brand terms, Competitor names, Protected terms, Allowed partners, Checks switched off and, where a Merchant Center account can be linked, Merchant Center. |
| Products | Which products Lift pushes or holds in each Google Ads account. | Merchandising list, Label feed. |
| Meta | How Lift reads each Meta ad account, and what its results are judged against. | Accounts, Stage map, Workspace targets. |
| Measurement | Where Lift reads your own results from. | Google Analytics, CRM, Commerce Cloud, Adjust. |
An area whose settings belong to one ad account picks the account at the top. An area for a platform with no connected account is marked Not connected. When you change something, an Unsaved changes bar appears with Discard and Save, and one Save covers every tab.
Ad platforms
Lift makes recommendations on Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads accounts. Apple Ads and LinkedIn Ads accounts can be connected on a workspace with Lift, and each gets its own tab in Recommendations once connected. Snapchat Ads accounts can be connected on a workspace with Lift too. No Lift checks run on Apple Ads, LinkedIn Ads or Snapchat Ads accounts, so Lift makes no recommendations on them, and the Lift page says so.
One connection serves every Tapper product on the workspace. To connect an ad account, see Connect your ad accounts.
Measurement
Lift can check the ad platforms' numbers against your own. In Business details, the Measurement area has one tab per source:
- Google Analytics: see Connect Google Analytics.
- CRM, for Salesforce Sales Cloud: see Connect Salesforce Sales Cloud.
- Commerce Cloud, for a Salesforce B2C Commerce store (formerly Demandware).
- Adjust: see Adjust integration for Tapper Lift.
For Branch, see Branch integration for Tapper Lift.
Who can do what
Owners, admins and managers can open every Lift page. They can apply a fix, mark a recommendation as done, dismiss it, revert a fix and change Lift's settings in Business details. Connecting Sales Cloud, B2C Commerce or an Adjust app needs the Owner or Admin role. The Viewer role has no access to Lift. See Settings.
