Adjust integration for Tapper Lift

Connect your Adjust apps to Tapper Lift, pick the events that count as a result, and turn an app off.

Connect Adjust so Tapper Lift can check Google's and Meta's numbers against your own Adjust numbers. Lift only reads campaign totals once a day and never changes anything in Adjust.

Tapper saves each app once, and Lift's part of it is called Counting. On a workspace with Tapper Block, Block's part of the same app has its own setup and its own API token, and it does not send numbers to Lift. If you use both, set up both. See Adjust integration for Tapper Block.

Where to find it

In the sidebar, open Lift, then Business details. Under Measurement, open the Adjust tab. It lists the protected entity's apps in a table with the columns App, Tracking tool, Counting, Events that count and Last check. Lift reads Adjust apps only: an app with another tracking tool shows Adjust only.

The same connection also shows in two other places:

  • Under Setup, open Advanced, then the Adjust tab: "The apps Lift reads from your Adjust, and the events that count as a result."
  • On a workspace with Block, when the app is listed under Setup, Mobile app, its Counting (Lift) tab holds the same connection.

Connect an app

1
Open Connect an app

On the Adjust tab, press Connect an app.

2
Pick the app

If the entity already has Adjust apps that Lift does not read, pick one under App, or choose A new app. For a new app, enter its Name, tick its Platforms (iOS, Android or both) and type its App token. A new app is saved once, so you never type it twice.

3
Choose how Lift reads your Adjust

There are two ways in. Inviting Tapper's reader is the recommended one. See the tabs below.

4
Press Check it

Tapper checks the app before it connects it.

Choose Invite integrations@tapper.ai to your Adjust as a Reader (recommended), then follow the steps on screen:

  1. In your Adjust, invite a new user: integrations@tapper.ai.
  2. Give that user the Reader role.
  3. Choose the apps Lift may read.
  4. Switch on in-app revenue for that user.
  5. Press Check it.

Tapper confirms the invite came from your Adjust, then checks the app. Until then the app shows Waiting for Tapper to confirm.

Setting this up for a client? The client's Adjust admin sends the invite.

The app token

The app token is 12 letters and digits. In your Adjust, open AppView, then the app's settings, and copy it.

The app's status

The Counting column shows where each app stands.

StatusWhat it means
ConnectedLift reads the app.
Waiting for Tapper to confirmTapper confirms the app is in your Adjust account, then checks it. Its events appear after that.
Check failedThe check did not pass, and Tapper says why. Fix it, then use Check again.
OffLift does not read this Adjust app. Use Turn on Counting in the row's menu to connect it.
Adjust onlyThe app uses another tracking tool, which Lift does not read.

If the app shows Counts only, no revenue under Setup, Advanced, Adjust or on its Counting (Lift) tab, the Adjust user Lift reads with cannot see in-app revenue. Switch on in-app revenue for that user in your Adjust, then check again.

Pick the events that count

In the app's row menu, choose Events that count. Pick the events from your Adjust that count as a result, then press Save. Until you pick, installs count. You can pick events once the app is no longer waiting for Tapper.

On the Adjust tab under Setup, Advanced, the same choice is under Events that count as a result, with Save events.

Check an app again

In the app's row menu, choose Check again. Tapper checks the app and says whether the check passed.

Turn an app off

In the app's row menu, choose Turn off Counting, then confirm with Turn off. Lift stops reading the app and the Adjust token Tapper saved for it is deleted. The app stays.

On the Adjust tab under Setup, Advanced, the button is Disconnect:

  • With Tapper's reader: Lift stops reading this app. Tapper's user stays in your Adjust until you remove it there.
  • With your own API token: Lift stops reading this app, and the API token you gave is deleted. Your Adjust is not changed.

Who can do what

Connecting an app, checking it again and turning it off need the Owner or Admin role. Owners, admins and managers can see the apps and pick the events that count.
