Tapper Lift in the app
The Tapper Lift pages and what you do on each: Recommendations, Trials, Products and Rules, plus Business details, ad platforms and who can do what.
Less waste with one-click fixes. Tapper Lift checks your ad accounts once a day and recommends the changes that save wasted spend or grow your results, and where a recommendation says Fix, Lift makes the change for you. In the sidebar, the Lift section lists Recommendations, Trials and Rules. Where at least one of your Google Ads accounts is an online store account, Products appears after Trials. Business details is in the Setup section. Lift's numbers are on the Lift tab of the Dashboard.
Lift works on one protected entity at a time. When your workspace has more than one, choose it with the switcher under the workspace name.
Recommendations
The list of what Lift found. The header says how many recommendations are open and which daily sweep they come from, with one line under it for the spend Lift checked in the last 30 days and where it sat. Export report, at the right of the header, makes the Lift report as a PDF. It covers your Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and Apple Ads accounts. Without one of those accounts, the button is off and a note beside it says what it needs.
Above the list, a summary gives the savings a day and how they split between ready to act on and to check first, then the number of recommendations. What's inside opens the detail of that money, by campaign type, kind of fix, ad account and campaign.
Two rows of chips narrow the list. The Platform chips are All platforms and one chip for each platform you have an ad account on, each with its count. A line under the list names the platforms Lift reads that you have not connected, with a link to Setup > Ad accounts. The State chips are Open, Done, Dismissed and Resolved. More filters sit beside the search box: Type (Spend or Campaign settings), Status (Critical, Attention, Low impact), Check and, with more than one ad account, Ad account.
Each recommendation says Fix when Lift can make the change for you, and Review when you make it yourself. Its menu has Mark as done, for a change you made yourself, and Dismiss.
Open a recommendation to see the detail. Where Lift has the reason behind it, the detail ends with Why this exists: what it means, what to do, and how it was worked out. On an open Google Ads recommendation, Try as a trial sits beside the main button (see Trials).
Trials
Where Lift can try a change before you make it. On an open Google Ads recommendation, choose Try as a trial. Lift works out what the change would likely do, and the trial opens. The Trials page lists every change tried or saved in one table, with these columns:
- Change: the change itself.
- Judged on: the figure the change is judged on.
- Expected: what the change was expected to do.
- So far: what it has done so far.
- Where it is: where the trial stands, from simulated to finished.
A row opens its trial.
Products
One Google Ads account's products, with the groups they fall in and what each costs and sells. It shows where one of your Google Ads accounts is an online store account. Its tabs are Products, Merchandising list and Label feed. Where an ad account has product lines, the Products tab also has a By line view. See Lift Products.
Rules
How Lift judges your accounts and when it may act. The areas are listed on the left, and each area has its own tabs.
| Area | What it holds | Tabs |
|---|---|---|
| Judging | What Lift reads in each Google Ads account, and how it judges it. | Judging. |
| Automation | When Lift may change a Google Ads account without waiting for you. | Automation. |
| Targets | What a result should cost, how often one person should see an ad, and how the budget is split, for each Meta Ads account. | Workspace targets. |
| Campaign classes | How Lift reads each Google Ads campaign. | Campaigns. |
| Ad set jobs | How Lift reads each Meta Ads ad set's job, and what it is judged on. | Stage map. |
| Checks switched off | The checks you switched off, for each Google Ads account. | Checks switched off. |
| Meta Ads tips | What Meta Ads suggests for each ad account, and Lift's take on each. | Meta Ads' recommendations. |
An area whose settings belong to one ad account picks the account at the top. An area for a platform with no connected account is marked Not connected. When you change something, an Unsaved changes bar appears with Discard and Save, and one Save covers every tab.
Results on the Dashboard
Lift's results are on the Lift tab of the Dashboard, under the Dashboard's own date range and platform chip. The tab shows Recovered spend, Recommendations fixed, Open recommendations and Impact, then the top recommendations, where the money leaks and the account watch, which lists settings to review and recent account changes. Spend and campaign results follow:
- Spend by platform and, with one platform picked, spend by campaign type.
- Why behind the spend: each platform's share of spend against its share of conversions.
- Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign performance. For Meta Ads that includes the ad set and ad level, placements, age and gender, and audience types.
- Export CSV, for the spend figures of the range and platform you picked.
The spend of your Microsoft Ads and Snapchat Ads accounts shows here too.
Business details
The facts about your business, which Lift judges every ad account against. In the sidebar, open Setup, then Business details. The areas are listed on the left, and each area has its own tabs.
| Area | What it holds | Tabs |
|---|---|---|
| General | What you sell and where the sale happens, and the monthly budget of each ad account. | Business type. |
| Products and margins | How much of each sale you keep, for each ad account. | Margins. |
| Conversions and values | Which conversions count for each Google Ads account, and the CRM stage that means qualified for each Meta Ads account. | Conversions, Qualified stage. |
| Names | Your brand, your competitors and your partners, for each ad account. | Brand terms, Competitor names, Allowed partners, Protected terms. |
For a car brand, the Protected terms tab is called Model names and comes first. Pick the ad account once at the top of an area. When you change something, an Unsaved changes bar appears with Discard and Save, and one Save covers every tab.
Ad platforms
Lift makes recommendations on Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads accounts. Apple Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Snapchat Ads accounts can be connected on a workspace with Lift too. When one of them is connected, the Lift page says what Lift does with it, and Recommendations shows no cards for it until Lift checks it.
One connection serves every Tapper product on the workspace. To connect an ad account, see Connect your ad accounts.
Measurement
Lift can check the ad platforms' numbers against your own. The sources are connected in Setup:
- Google Analytics, Salesforce Sales Cloud and Commerce Cloud: in Setup > Data sources. See Connect Google Analytics, Connect Salesforce Sales Cloud and Connect Commerce Cloud.
- Adjust: in Setup > Mobile app. See Adjust integration for Tapper Lift.
- Google Merchant Center: in Setup > Data sources.
For Branch, see Branch integration for Tapper Lift.
Who can do what
Owners, admins and managers can open every Lift page. They can apply a fix, mark a recommendation as done, dismiss it, revert a fix and change Lift's settings in Business details and Rules. Connecting Sales Cloud, B2C Commerce or an Adjust app needs the Owner or Admin role. The Viewer role has no access to Lift. See Settings.
