Signing in

The three ways into Tapper, password, Google and your company single sign-on (SSO), plus the two-factor code step and the theme button on the sign-in pages.

There are three ways into Tapper: a password, Google, and your company's single sign-on.

Password

Enter your email and password and click Log in. The Forgot password? link under the password field resets it.

If your company has turned on Lock @yourcompany.com accounts to this workspace for your email domain, the password form says so and moves you to the single sign-on step. Under Require SSO for @yourcompany.com accounts alone, your password still works. The first workspace you open then asks you to click Continue with single sign-on, once per session. After that, every workspace opens.

Google

Click Sign in with Google. If your email domain is locked to a workspace, Google sign-in stops working for you and you land on the Log in with single sign-on page instead. Require SSO for @yourcompany.com accounts on its own does not stop Google sign-in.

Single sign-on

1
Choose it

Click Log in with single sign-on on the log-in page, or Sign up with single sign-on if you are creating an account.

2
Enter your work email

Enter your work email and click Continue. Tapper uses the domain to find your workspace's identity provider.

3
Sign in at your provider

Your provider takes over. When it is done, you land in Tapper.

If no single sign-on is set up for your email domain, the step says so. Click Log in another way to go back to the password form.

Your workspace can share a link that skips the password form: https://app.tapper.ai/sso/<your-domain>, for example https://app.tapper.ai/sso/acme.com. It opens with your domain filled in and the button Continue to acme.com's login, which hands you to your provider. Without a domain, https://app.tapper.ai/sso asks for your work email or company domain first.

The first time

If your workspace has Create accounts automatically switched on, your account is created the first time you sign in, and you join with the role the workspace chose. If it is off, ask an owner or admin to invite you first.

If you already had a Tapper account at a verified domain and Create accounts automatically is on, that account joins the workspace the first time you sign in through the provider. Someone removed from the workspace is never added back this way, and nobody joins while the workspace has no seats left. If your account's email address was never confirmed, that first sign-in removes its old password and two-factor authentication and signs out its other sessions. Sign in through the provider from then on, or reset the password.

The code step

If two-factor authentication is on for your account, Tapper asks for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app after you sign in, whichever way you signed in. See Two-factor authentication.

Theme

Every sign-in and sign-up page has a theme button in the top right. Each click moves between light, dark and following your device. Once you are in, the same choice is under Theme in the account menu and in Settings, Profile, Appearance.
