Settings
The sections of Tapper settings and what you change in each, from General and Members to Change history, Assistant, Billing and API keys.
Settings hold everything about your workspace and your own account. Open the account menu from your name at the bottom of the left sidebar, or from your avatar at the top of the screen on a phone, and choose Settings. The rail on the left has up to ten sections.
The account menu
The account menu shows who is signed in, then:
- Workspaces: the workspaces you belong to, with a check on the current one. Choose another to switch.
- New workspace: create a workspace.
- Settings: opens General.
- Team: opens Members.
- Account settings: opens Profile.
- Theme: Light, Dark or System.
- Log out.
General
General is one page with four groups of rows:
- Name and logo: the workspace's name and logo.
- Time zone: the time zone Tapper uses for your analytics and for every date and time it shows you. Daily charts from your ad platforms stay in the ad account's time zone.
- Your products: a card for each Tapper product the workspace can use, with its state and, for owners and admins, Turn on and Turn off. The change applies at once, and Turn off asks you to confirm. Block cannot be turned on from here once an ad account is connected, and Vantage comes with Block. Products are switched on per protected entity: with several entities, a card reads, for example, On for all 3 entities or On for DKNY, off for Cole Haan. Turn on and Turn off change every entity at once, and Per entity opens an entity's own Products page under Setup. A product your Tapper team set shows as set by them, with Contact support.
- Demo data: Show demo data fills every page with example data instead of yours. It applies at once, only for you in this browser, and nothing you change is saved while it is on. A banner on each page has Turn off demo data, and logging out turns it off.
Workspaces
The workspaces you belong to, with your role in each and a search box. Switch to one, or choose New workspace to add one.
Members
The people who can use this workspace, the invitations still open, and how many of your plan's seats are used. Owners and admins can invite someone by email under Invite a collaborator, change a member's role, remove a member or withdraw an invitation. A new invitation starts on Manager, and you can pick another role before you send it.
Roles
Each member has one of four roles: Owner, Admin, Manager or Viewer.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an admin can do. Each workspace has one owner. The owner's role cannot be changed or removed in Members. To move ownership to someone else, contact Tapper support. |
| Admin | Everything in the workspace: connect ad accounts, invite and remove members and change their roles, connect integrations such as Google Analytics, Salesforce Sales Cloud and Adjust, change the General settings, set up single sign-on, and create API keys. |
| Manager | Runs the workspace day to day: detection rules, campaign and ad set exclusions, the cookie policy, conversion pages, domains, shadow campaigns, and fixing or dismissing Lift recommendations. A manager cannot connect ad accounts, manage members, connect integrations, change the General settings, set up single sign-on or create API keys. |
| Viewer | Sees the workspace's dashboards and clicks. A viewer cannot open Lift recommendations or the activity log, and cannot change the workspace's settings, protection, ad accounts or members. |
Viewer was called Read only until 12 October 2026, then Editor until 18 October 2026. Only the name changed.
Every member, whatever their role, can change their own Profile and Alerts.
Three things are done by Tapper support only, for every role including the owner: disconnecting an ad account, deleting a protected entity, and deleting a workspace. Contact Tapper support for any of them.
Tapper support can also make one member view-only for a single product (Tapper Vantage, Tapper Lift or Tapper Block), whatever their role.
Single sign-on
Let your team sign in with your own identity provider. Owners and admins can set this up. See Single sign-on.
Profile
Your own account, in four tabs:
- Details: your name and photo.
- Contact: your email address, and the phone numbers alerts can use.
- Login: your password and two-factor authentication. See Two-factor authentication.
- Appearance: the color theme, Light, Dark or System.
Alerts
How alerts reach you and which ones you get. These are your own choices and do not change what other members receive. There are three tabs:
- Delivery: the channels alerts use to reach you in each workspace.
- Emails: every alert rule that emails you, each with its own switch. Turning one off stops it for you only.
- Digest: a daily and a weekly summary, at the time, day and time zone you choose.
Change history
Who changed what in the workspace, newest first: when, who, the product and what changed. Search it, or filter by date, product and member. It lists changes only; values sent and alerts are not in it. Owners, admins and managers can open it.
Assistant
For owners and admins: the workspace's saved Ask Tapper chats, with when, who, the question and its rating. Search them, open one to read it, read only. See Ask Tapper.
Billing
Your plan, its renewal date, seats, billing period and automatic renewal. Tapper's plans are Lift, Block, Vantage and Enterprise; View plans, under Change your plan, opens the Plans page. On a paid plan, Manage billing, under Billing portal, opens your invoices, receipts and payment method. Cancel plan stops the plan renewing: you keep it until its end date, then the workspace has no active plan until you choose one.
API keys
Keys for your own integrations, and how many your plan has left. Owners and admins can create them. This section appears only on plans that include API keys. Changes to the API are listed in the API changelog.
