Adjust integration for Tapper Lift

Connect your Adjust apps to Tapper Lift from the app's page in Setup, pick the events that count as a result, and turn an app off.

Connect Adjust so Tapper Lift can check Google's and Meta's numbers against your own Adjust numbers. Lift only reads campaign totals once a day and never changes anything in Adjust.

Tapper saves each app once, under Setup > Mobile app, with one Access card for its keys. Lift's part of the app is called Counting (Lift). On a workspace with Tapper Block, Block's part of the same app is the Block card, under Access: it uses the same API token, and it does not send numbers to Lift. See Adjust integration for Tapper Block.

Where to find it

Every app is set up on its own page: in the sidebar, under Setup, open Mobile app and pick the app on the left. The page has the app's Details, its Access card (the keys) and, for an Adjust app, the Counting (Lift) switch. Lift reads Adjust apps only: an app with another tracking tool shows Adjust only.

Connect an app

1
Add the app, if it is not there yet

Under Setup, open Mobile app, then Add app. Enter its Name, tick its Platforms (iOS, Android or both), choose Adjust as the Tracking tool and type its Adjust App Token, then click Add app. An app is saved once, so you never type it twice.

2
Set up the way in on the Access card

There are two ways in. Inviting Tapper's reader is the recommended one. See the tabs below. Both are set up on the app's Access card.

3
Switch on Counting (Lift)

Turn on the Counting (Lift) switch. Under How Lift reads your Adjust, choose the way you set up.

4
Press Check it

Under Check the app, press Check it. Tapper lists the app's events and pulls one day, to prove the connection.

Choose Invite integrations@tapper.ai to your Adjust as a Reader (recommended). The steps are on the Access card, under Reader invite:

  1. In your Adjust, invite a new user: integrations@tapper.ai.
  2. Give that user the Reader role.
  3. Choose the apps Lift may read.
  4. Switch on in-app revenue for that user.
  5. Press Check it.

Tapper confirms the invite came from your Adjust, then checks the app. Until then the app shows Waiting for Tapper to confirm.

Setting this up for a customer? The customer's Adjust admin sends the invite.

The app token

The app token is 12 letters and digits. In your Adjust, open AppView, then the app's settings, and copy it.

The app's status

The Counting (Lift) card's Status shows where each app stands.

StatusWhat it means
ConnectedLift reads the app.
Waiting for Tapper to confirmTapper confirms the app is in your Adjust account, then checks it. Its events appear after that.
Check failedThe check did not pass, and Tapper says why. Fix it, then use Check again.
OffLift does not read this Adjust app. Switch on Counting (Lift) on the app's page.
Adjust onlyThe app uses another tracking tool, which Lift does not read.

If the Counting (Lift) card shows Counts only, no revenue, the Adjust user Lift reads with cannot see in-app revenue. Switch on in-app revenue for that user in your Adjust, then check again.

Pick the events that count

On the Counting (Lift) card, under Events that count as a result, pick the events from your Adjust that count as a result, then click Save in the Unsaved changes bar. Until you pick, installs count. You can pick events once the app is no longer waiting for Tapper.

Check an app again

On the Counting (Lift) card, press Check again. Tapper checks the app and says whether the check passed.

Turn an app off

On the Counting (Lift) card, under Disconnect Counting, press Disconnect, then confirm with Turn off. Lift stops reading the app. The API token saved on the Access card stays, and the app and its Block card stay.

If you used Tapper's reader, Tapper's user stays in your Adjust until you remove it there.

Who can do what

Adding an app, switching Counting on or off and checking it need the Owner or Admin role. Owners, admins and managers can see the apps and pick the events that count.
